A waterfront restaurant the Bonura family built on the river
Shadows sits about forty feet above the Hudson on the Poughkeepsie waterfront, with the Mid-Hudson Bridge to the north. The Bonura family opened it in 2006, next door to their event venue, The Grandview.
Inside are five dining rooms, a 30-foot curved bar, and open-air decks over the water. The kitchen cooks New American: steaks, seafood, and a raw bar. The cellar holds a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence.
